Who we are
buzzhit is an app that creates and plans social media content, and can post to Instagram for you when you ask it to. The data controller is [name / company], contact: [contact email].
What we store
- Your email address, to sign you in. If you join the early-access list on our website, we store that email address too.
- The Instagram account you connect: username, account ID and an access token from Instagram. The token is stored on the server and is never shown in the app.
- Posts you schedule for auto-posting: the images, the caption and the time.
- Content you make in the app (ideas, captions, calendar) is stored on your device.
What we use it for
Only to do what you ask: sign you in, show your account, publish your posts to Instagram at the time you picked, and email you when features on the early-access list launch. We don't sell data, we don't show ads, and we never post anything you haven't scheduled yourself.
Access we ask Instagram for
instagram_business_basic (read your username and account ID) and instagram_business_content_publish (publish the posts you have scheduled).
Where the data lives
With Supabase, in a data centre in the EU (Stockholm). Images you schedule are kept at an address Instagram fetches them from when the post is published.
How long
For as long as you have an account. If you disconnect Instagram, the token is deleted right away. If you delete your account, everything is deleted. You can leave the early-access list at any time by emailing us.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Norway, Datatilsynet).
How to delete your data
- Open buzzhit, go to Growth and tap Disconnect Instagram. This deletes the Instagram token and stops any scheduled posts.
- To delete everything, email [contact email] with the subject “Delete my account”. We delete your account, posts and images within 30 days and confirm when it's done.
- You can also remove buzzhit from Instagram: Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites → Active → buzzhit → Remove.
Terms in short
You are responsible for the content you post and for following Instagram's rules. buzzhit only posts what you have scheduled yourself. The service is provided as is, and we can't guarantee that Instagram will always accept a post. We let you know in the app if something fails.
